The Women of Zeitona

We watched The Women of Zeitona in class about a week ago and I found it very enlightening. The fact that women from two conflicting countries, can just sit down and actually discuss their issues, instead of fighting about how they felt was inspiring. Their group has proven that if you use your words, as opposed to fighting or violent actions, you could solve a lot more in this world. Maybe if more people followed what they were trying to do, there would be a lot less fighting going on in our world, and a lot more countries would be at peace with each other. Some country's leaders may just be stubborn and not want to "give in" to another country or another country's leader, and that is not what being a leader is about. Some places may not have much of a choice on who their leader is, but there is no saying that you can't go out and try to solve some problems yourself. It takes initiative and a willing to try to change things, and I think that is what The Women of Zeitona are all about.
